FireLake:
FireLake is the second addition of Carlson's award winning mid-western restaurant. Featuring regional, local and sustainable foods kissed with the flavor of real burning wood, through our grill, rotisserie, and smoker. A timeless atmosphere with a modern edge. Impeccable hospitality and service. 175 seat restaurant, 125 seat lounge. Lounge will feature local brews, selective wine list and modern cocktail program.
Scope:
To manage the operation of the bar/laounge by developing and implementing strageties and services which meet the needs of owners, employees and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and implments strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals
- Participates in the develpment of the marketing paln for the bar/lounge by keeping current on competitors
- Develops and implements special promotions and employee incentives
-Provides employees with current information on drink specials and menu items
-Increases sales by coaching employees on effective sales techniques
- Maximizes productivity by using forecasting techniques to manage labor costs
2. Manages the operation of the bar/lounge
- Coordinates the set up of the bar/lounge area in accordance with Carlson Hotel standards
- Manages the food and beveage service provided in assigned bar/lounge; coaches employees on proper service techniques
- Inspects bar/lounge on an ongoing basis and takes steps to ensure facilities meet or exceed the hotel standards at all times
- Leads staff meetings
- Assists in quarterly inventories
- Properly executes check control procedures
- Maintains sanitary and safe work environment for guests and employees
3. Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
- Recruits and selects qualified candidates
- Provides employees with the training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
- Communicates performance expectaions and provides employees with ongoing feedback
-Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
4. Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsbiltiy and uses teamwork when providing guest services
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds and solutaion and follows through when resolving guest issues
- Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
- Assumes the responsiblity to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgement as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee
- Performs other duties as required to meet or exceed the service brand expectations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Long hours are sometimes required, ability to work flexible schedule
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up to 75 pounds

High school diploma required, associates or bachelor's degree preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee
Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations
Strong floor presence with focus and energy
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
