Group Sales Manager
To increase the hotel's business by conducting building relationships with clients, direct sales efforts, follow up, and proper sales administration.
Hotel Overview: The Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, offers 545 elegant guestrooms and suites, with over 73,000 square feet of banqueting and meeting space. For the last forty years, the Fairmont Dallas has been the setting for countless civic, social, cultural, convention and corporate events, but more importantly the setting for thousands of memories.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Group Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
* Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner
* Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
* Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include adhering to the proper dress code and wearing name tag while working
* Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
* Follow up on leads both by telephone and by written correspondence.
Maintain an active prospecting effort
* Coordinate with Convention Services and Catering on groups involving rooms and Banquet revenue to maximize space
* Maintain monthly incentive compensation worksheets and lead source analysis
* Exceed/ Meet goals established by Director of Group Sales and Director of Sales and Marketing (i.e. room nights, rate, F&B, and number of prospecting calls.)

* Long hours sometimes may be required
Light work ? Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
