JOB OVERVIEW
Food and Beverage Barbacks assists and supports bartenders and servers to ensure prompt service and guests satisfaction. Barbacks are responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the lounge and equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Prepare food items needed in the preparation of drinks
· Trash pickup and disposal at bar and bar service areas
· Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands when using restroom, etc.)
· Responsible for completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the Bartender.
· Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork
· Create and support an environment of "Teamwork" by helping a fellow employee or guest, without a second thought
· Superior attendance and punctuality
· Attendance in mandatory meetings, training, workshops, and/or seminars
· Adhere to organization policies and procedures
· Maintains and stocks adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.
· Wash glasses and other serving equipment at bars
· Stock refrigerating units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc.
· Replenish ice at bar
· Clean and polish bar, counters, shelves, equipment, bar stools, etc.
* Pick up soiled plates and beverages, and place into bus tubs
* Ensure full bus tubs get brought back into the kitchen
* Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
* Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
* Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
* Anticipate and address guests` service needs
* Speak with others using clear and professional language
* Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
* Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
· Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
· Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
· Perform related duties as required
· Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property
· Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
· Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
