Job Description
Serve guests in hospitable manner to ensure positive guest experience during arrival and departure.

oRead luggage tags and provide claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery. Grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, luggage or boxes up to 75 lbs. from cars, buses and vans, placing packages and luggage onto baggage carts or in secure area for retrieval by bell staff.
oPark guest vehicles and retrieve valet parked guest vehicles in a timely and courteous manner; use claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery of vehicle. Move from door post to and from other areas throughout the hotel in response to customer needs.
oComply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
oPerform any other job related duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge
oMaintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
oAbility effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
oAbility to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
oAbility to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage with sufficient manual dexterity in both hands to be able to load and unload luggage up to 75 lbs.
oAbility to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
oPerform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling and walking.
oConsiderable knowledge of and ability to communicate clear directions to nearby local attractions and hotel facilities and services.
oAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
oMust have the ability to communicate in English.
