Assistant Front Office Manager
Job Details
The Assistant Front Office Manager works closely with the Front Office manager to execute the highest level of guest service and standards compliance for all positions within the Front Desk, Guest Services, Royal Service, and Business Center departments. Through hands on management and guidance, the ideal candidate achieves our strategic direction by keeping the team focused on our vision and values while managing the daily operation.
Hotel Overview: Fairmont Pittsburgh, a 4 diamond LEED certified luxury hotel, is located at the heart of Pittsburgh's business, cultural and retail hub. Fairmont Pittsburgh offers superb and distinctive guest services and accommodations in a luxury setting.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
? Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
? Review daily reports, arrival, VIP, FPC, group and ensure proper execution of the details therein within departments of responsibility
? Work closely with Front office Manager and revenue management to apply yield management principles and appropriately manage the inventory maximizing rooms revenue
? Executes concepts of ?the perfect arrival?
? Focuses the team on guest service initiatives and drive guest satisfaction score results
? Drives satisfaction in all JD Power satisfaction driver areas
? Ensures Fairmont President's Club program is executed to the highest level
? Participates in and conducts regular leadership and colleague briefings and formal communication meetings
? Monitors established standards and procedures set out by the hotel and the department and ensures compliance
? Ensure performance management principles are followed
? Other duties as assigned

? Previous experience is an asset
? Minimum 1 year progressive Front Office operations experience, preferably in a luxury property
? College Degree in Hospitality an asset
? Computer knowledge and proficiency in PMS (Opera) and Microsoft Office
? Excellent leadership, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
? Strong organizational skills with multitasking prioritization
? Fanatical guest service orientation
Visa Requirements: Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization.
? Minimum 1 year progressive Front Office operations experience, preferably in a luxury property
? College Degree in Hospitality an asset
