Custodial Manager - Job Description:

 

The Custodial Manager administers, directs, and evaluates needs to maintain a clean, orderly facility and to maintain adequate supplies.  This role also formulates plans for the implementation of the Housekeeping Operating system. This position works under direction of the Director of Facilities.  

 

Responsibilities:


* Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures.  Develops, recommends, and implements new and/or modified programs, services, policies and procedures.

* Meets with facility administration and other department heads to plan, organize, coordinate, and communicate departmental programs, services, and policies and procedures.

* Prepares and controls departmental budget, orders materials, maintains inventory, ensures sufficient inventory is available and dispenses supplies according to need.

* Prepares and maintains a variety of departmental records and reports, as per company operational standards.

* Ensures compliance with State Health Department, EPA, and all other appropriate government agencies.

* Supervises, trains and monitors work performance of office staff members and other department personnel as assigned by the Director.




 

Requirements:


* Associates degree preferred or equivalent related worked experience.

* A minimum of 3 years responsibility at a management level in housekeeping in a similar size facility. 

* Ability to meet travel requirements; Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and/or vehicles.

* Must have proficiency in MS Office and other related platforms.

* The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions in writing and orally.




 

Physical Demands:


* Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects of up to 25 lbs.

* Work environment will be a combination of an office and the facilities being managed/supervised.

* Must have the ability to travel to and from various sites using standard forms of transportation.




 

Other Job Requirements:


* Must have a valid driver's license and be able to provide state issued DMV record.

* Must be able to successfully complete a background check process.
