Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE: Provides services related to nail and skin care of the hands and feet. Performs consultation, skin and nail analysis and provides exceptional customer service to every guest. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: AVERAGE % OF TIME 30% Follows established guidelines and protocols to perform non-invasive skin and nail treatments such as manicures, pedicures, decorates nails, applies sculptured or other artificial nails. Cares for the nails or skin of the hands or feet including massaging the hands, arms, elbows, feet, lower legs and knees for other than the treatment of medical disorders. 20% Identifies guest goals and recommend services and products to achieve optimal results while ensuring guest safety. Conduct treatment consultations with guests and review client history for possible contraindications. 15% Educates guests on necessity for home care and recommend products to meet their skin and nail care needs. 15% Maintains all treatment area in a sanitary condition and upholds all protocols for set-up and cleanliness. Practices all sanitation and safety guidelines provided by both the Department of Health and the Resort. 10% Maintains accurate inventory controls of supplies used. Utilizes supplies properly in a manner that provides excellent quality treatments with efficient use of products. 5% Maintains schedule and record of all appointments in allotted time. 5% Communicates with guests and associates in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Starwood rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities. Associates who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel: o Follows hotel safety standards. o Performs additional duties as necessary and assigned.
