Banquet team : As part of the Banquet team, you would create a friendly, courteous and bespoke function experience for our guests. Ensure a smooth operation by applying St. Regis service standards and procedures. Become a valuable member of an exciting team that delivers top-notch service! Serve all catered food and beverage items to our guests during private events in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner. You will truly be a key component to a successful business meeting or a once in a life time social event. Ensure the station and table set ups are complete and meet departmental standards prior to service. You will work closely and will collaborate with other departments in the hotel to enhance the guests' experience. The ideal candidate must enjoy interacting and conversing with guests as well as working closely within a team. The ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment is critical to this role. Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE Ensure that the bar is set and maintained so that the bar staff has everything it needs to run an effective operation, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the outlet, running food, and set-up and breakdown of the bar. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AVERAGE % OF TIME 50% Prepare mixers, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage. 40% Sweep the floors, polish brass and steel, mop, clean glassware and wipe down mirrors in the outlet. Set-up and breakdown the bar. 10% Assist bar staff when needed. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Starwood rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
