Job Description

Position Summary

The Cook II in the Canyon Cove Buffet is responsible for providing friendly, courteous and efficient service to guests and fellow team members. They ensure prompt response to all guest needs. Participate in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel engaged in preparing and cooking foodstuffs by performing the following duties: receiveing and examining food products and supplies to ensure quality and quantity to meet established standards, specifications and ensure proper storage and organization, selects and computes recipes based on volume and type of product to be prepared, keeps buffet fresh and stocked.

Job Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associate’s degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or industry experience. Must have proficient knife skills. Must be knowledgeable in the basic cooking skills and have working knowledge of, soups, sauces, meat, poultry and seafood items.
