Job Description:	We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, proactive, and aggressive person to fill the open position of Sales Manager Trainee for our full service hotel. This position's compensation is based in salary and heavily weighted to commissions. If you have recently graduated collage with a degree in Marketing or you been a sales admin for two or more years and think it might be time to move up this could be the job for you. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES INCLUDE: Developing profitable sales through outside sales calls and maintaining active sales contact on all assigned accounts and within assigned market segments. Handling incoming inquiries and booking premium business. Qualifying customers, developing proposals, and preparing and negotiating contracts. Gathering information as possible from client and communicating information to hotel staff so each function can proceed smoothly. Obtaining rooming lists from clients and is in charge of maintenance of rooming list throughout client's stay at hotel. Servicing current clients and assertively re-booking them. Maintaining up to date tracers for follow up. Possesses knowledge of competition and what other companies offer their clientele
Job Requirements:	MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Must be able to organize time effectively Must be able to work with minimal supervision Command of the English language, both written and verbal Able to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time/frequently in order to interact with clients and staff both inside and outside of hotel Must be able to work flexible and extended hours Able to perform several varying tasks simultaneously REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: College degree or equivalent experience in the marketing of food and beverage. Must have proven sales experience preferably in the hospitality industry Must have leadership qualities
