Banquet Houseperson - PM Shift
Set up designated function rooms to group's requirements in accordance with Hotel standards. Maintain cleanliness and working condition of all respective equipment, guest and service areas.
Hotel Overview: The Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, offers 545 elegant guestrooms and suites, with over 73,000 square feet of banqueting and meeting space. For the last forty years, the Fairmont Dallas has been the setting for countless civic, social, cultural, convention and corporate events, but more importantly the setting for thousands of memories.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Banqet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
* Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended
* Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
* Maintain positive guest relations at all times
* Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
* Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas

* Previous guest service experience preferred
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
* Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
* Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (includes but not limited to):
* Constant standing and walking throughout shift
* Constant lifting and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs
* Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
* Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements: Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
