Job Description

Position Summary

Directly responsible for procurement and placement of slot product to ensure optimal game mix, hold %, and utilization as well as direct oversight of the Casino Operational Technical Team. Provides detailed analysis of the slot floor and table games as required by senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Hires, trains and supervises Assistant Slot Technical Manager(s).
* Oversees the operation and budget of the Slot Repair shop.
* Evaluates the investigation of all cheating attempts, percentage malfunctions and sub-standard equipment within the Slot Department.
* Recommends changes in the layout of the slot product.
* Adheres to all department/company policies and procedures.
* Update and maintain CAD drawings for the gaming floor relative to
Tables and Slots.
* Ensure that all Slot product and technology is functioning properly.
* Oversees maintenance of signage on the Slot floor.
* Maintain regulatory compliance with Slot machine software.
* Maintain a Master Slot File to track all software that is installed on the gaming floor.
* Ensure that any new software that arrives for new games/conversions and/or replacements are checked and verified for accuracy against the jurisdictional approval list.
* Conduct a complete audit of the Master Slot File annually.
* Work closely with corporate counterparts in the design and implementation of projects
* Assists in design and preparation of presentations
* Prepares historical performance analysis and appropriate summaries
* Assists in directing and overseeing capital plans, purchases and projects
* Assists with gathering information and performing analysis of ongoing operations
* Update and maintain CAD drawings for the gaming floor relative to Tables and Slots.
* Assists with special projects as assigned.
* Provide coachings, mentor, and develop all subordinate staff members through the coaching process. Ensure direct report leaders are supplying the same level of leadership to Technicians.
* Evaluate individual and departmental performance specifically in regard to guest service, Team Member Satisfaction, and financial results. Conduct regular focus groups, all Team Member Meetings (quarterly), to support changes and to make recommendations on processes within the department.
* Provide timely annual reviews to leaders and ensures timely annual reviews to all Team Members within the department.
* Works closely with all other departments including but not limited to Marketing, Slot Operations, Table Games, Poker, and property executive committee members to provide seamless service and execute strategies.
* Develop strategies for guest service, BV accuracy, and all other departmental/ property metrics to drive consistent and sustainable results in each area. 

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge and Skills

* Knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures pertaining to the Slot department.
* Knowledge of slot machine theory as in reel strips, hit frequency and basic operation of slot machine.
* Advanced understanding of computer generated reports.
* Strong leadership, motivational and developmental skills.
* Excellent communication skills.

Required Education and Work Experience

* College degree or MBA preferred
* Minimum of 3 years experience as a slot technician or equivalent technical experience.
