Job Details
Responsible for the production of hot and cold foods for patients, caf, and catering services; developing recipes and menus, specifying product within budgetary guidelines; menu costing; mentoring staff; implementing/monitoring food safety protocols. Oversees kitchen and storeroom operation.
Education:
- Degree in Culinary Arts and/or Hospitality Management from accredited institution.
Experience & Special Training:
- Minimum two years management experience as Executive Chef preferably in institutional food service setting.
- Thorough knowledge of food production in an acute hospital setting.
- Thorough knowledge of operations of all services supervised. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent computer skills.
Licensure and Certification:
Required: ServSafe certification
Preferred: CDM certification
