Job Description
The Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel currently has a
position open for a Stewarding Supervisor - Food &
Beverage.
Primary Function:
Supervising the cleaning staff; creating and monitoring
work schedules for the cleaning staff; assigning duties
to the cleaning staff; training new crews; ensuring main
kitchen and banquet kitchen are clean and meet
sanitation standards; cleaning and sanitizing kitchen,
equipment and utensils.
Primary Tasks:
* Responsible for all personnel under his/her
supervision
* Follows a routine cleaning schedule for all kitchen
equipment and areas
* Makes shift reports as required by the Executive
Steward
* Disciplines associates within the limits of his/her
authority
* Reviews and reinforces operating procedures with
his/her staff
* Minimizes breakage of circulating equipment
Job Requirements
* Ability to supervise and direct subordinates
* Ability to plan work schedules and assign duties
* Ability to effectively communicate and maintain good
interpersonal relations with co-workers
* Ability to work closely and cooperate with
co-workers in order to complete tasks on time
* Ability to follow appropriate procedures to maintain
sanitary environment and equipment;
* Ability to operate pressure washer
* Ability to utilize broom, mop, bucket, putty knives
and carts
* Ability to dismantle and reassemble gas stoves and
grills in order to clean them
* Ability to lift and move grill and stove components,
rubberized floor mats, and essential equipment
* Ability to reach high and low
* Ability to remain at work stations for entirety of
shift
* Extensive mobility within and between work stations
* Ability to work extra hours as needed
* Ability to handle stress of completing work on time,
supervising and interacting with co-workers.
