Experience what's Brewing. The Starbucks at The Westin Arlington Gateway, located on N Glebe Rd in the Ballston area of Arlington is now accepting applications for a temporary barista. The associate employed by this Starbucks will enjoy the benefit of two distinct brands (Starbucks and Westin). The associate will be employed by the Westin Arlington Gateway. Candidates for this position must have the ability to learn about coffee, the taste, texture, origin, body etc. We are searching for someone with a natural energy that will embrace and add to the Starbucks atmosphere. Someone who is eager to evolve and grow is also a key asset as there are endless possibilities to do so within the company.
Requirements
To reach one's potential in this position, candidates must have Starbucks experience. Must have an appreciation for coffee, must be able to learn all aspects of coffee and be able to speak to the details when providing service to customers. Other qualifications include ability to speak, read and write English, basic computer skills and basic computational skills, ability to handle cash and multi-task in a fast paced environment. Physical requirements include ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and bend, reach and squat throughout the shift. Flexibility in availability is required.
