Job Description
Scope:
Maximization of assigned hotels revenue and market share through daily leadership in the management of guestroom inventory and product pricing. The ADoRM will assist hotels in their Area in developing and managing revenue/yield strategies encompassing all facets of pricing, demand analysis, yield management, market segmentation, business mix, selling strategies and tactics in accordance with Pillar Hotels and Resorts best practices. Recommend and implement appropriate revenue management strategies at each hotel. Support the overall goals of each hotel sales team as well as those of Pillar Hotels and Resorts Revenue Management. Primary focus is on increasing revenues and RevPAR Index. The ADoRM is also responsible for monitoring and mentoring the General Managers at the hotels in their Area in regards to reservations selling and proper yield management strategies. The ADoRM will team with the ADoS to ensure both revenue management and sales needs of their assigned hotels achieve the desired results. The ADoRM is ultimately responsible for the total room revenue for the assigned hotels and the ongoing RevPAR Index improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains strong open relationships with Area Directors, GMs, Property Sales teams, Corporate Revenue Management team and Area Director of Sales
Conducts periodic revenue meetings with each Area Director, GM and Sales team to discuss inventory, pick up, pricing strategy and sales action items
Works with the Regional DOS' to assists hotel based DOS' with the direction of the activities of the hotel, based on market conditions and quantitative data
Reviews and approves negotiated rates presented by the property for local negotiated rates and through the specific brand RFP process
Assists with displacement analysis on contract business for their perspective hotels
Coordinates enrollment, roll out, and statistics for all internal and brand transient marketing programs
Compiles, analyzes and disseminates weekly and monthly hotel competitive set data to all General Managers in their perspective regions
Provides leadership and motivation necessary to implement effective sales and marketing strategies in transient and group sales and to maximize the generation of sales/revenues
Control of inventory and availability of external booking sources (i.e. GDS and Third Party Internet companies)
Manages room inventory of hotels by manipulating the system or communicating with the hotel.
Analyzes market segment performance at each hotel to determine appropriate strategic actions by segment
Analyzes demand and determines effective yield strategies to optimize revenue and market share
Implements effective selling strategies for all channels to maximize hotel revenue opportunities
Maintains a complete short -term & long -term awareness of the local market
Monitors & evaluates competitor's pricing in all avenues and communicates pricing strategies with hotel General Managers and DOSs accordingly
Ensures all Revenue Management data files are organized and maintained
Assists with the marketing/business plan and budget development and implementation
In conjunction with GM and DOS at Area hotels creates various detailed forecasts
Responsible for overall Reservations Selling Process
Responsible for executing all Revenue Management Department Initiatives
Assists in developing processes and procedures to standardize Revenue Management functions for all Pillar Hotels and Resorts managed properties
Responsible for implementing and training of Revenue Management standards as they are developed
Assists in developing and conducting Revenue Management training for the operations and sales teams
Relationships:
Internal: Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing, Corporate Director of Revenue Management, Area Directors of Operations, General Managers & Sales staff within designated region
External: Third Party Market Managers
Travel Agencies- To promote hotel services & provide assistance.
Competition: To stay informed of competitive strategies & business conditions.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. ADoRM should have at least 3 years of Revenue Management experience and management of multiple hotels and brands is preferred. Dallas based position located at the Pillar Hotels and Resorts Home Office.
