Job Details
Duties and Responsibilities
* Be aware of and comply with all legislation affecting the operation, including licensing regulations, health regulations and fire and safety regulations
* Ensure disciplinary and grievance procedures are properly adhered to and followed
* Complete detailed checks of the entire Food and Beverage operation during all service periods taking necessary actions to correct any deviation from quality standards
* Co-ordinate all aspects of the point of sales implementation
* Conduct weekly inspections of restaurants with minute follow-ups
* Attend daily morning briefings
* Attend and prepare for all departmental meetings
* Carry out projects and assignments as requested by the Executive Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage e.g. beverage lists, menus, etc
* Co-ordinate all aspects of wine and beverage lists
* Conduct daily hotel tours to observe operational standards and difficulties and follow them up with the relevant Managers
* Write and proofread memorandums, letters and menus of the department
* Propose and initiate when approved, new services and products for our guests
* Handle customer comments and complaints and take swift corrective action
* Find ways to improve the efficiency of the operations, which will benefit hotel clients
* Follow instructions given by the Executive Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage, Resident Manager, General Manager and perform any other reasonable duties as required by the division head from time to time
Requirements
* A recognized Degree in Hotel Management
* Minimum 5 years working experience with at least 2 years of Food and Beverage experience in a similar capacity, in a 5 star hotel operation
* Management experience in hospitality industry (free standing operation)
* Master all levels of polite Japanese language in written and spoken forms
* Able to express self in English in both written and verbal forms
* Experience in Food and Beverage budget preparation, profit and loss statement analysis and forecasting.
* Experience in the administration of Food and Beverage promotions.
* Experience in performance Management.
* Must possess a high level of customer service orientation
* Able to use a computer and related software usually utilized by the industry (Microsoft Office)
* Experience in developing teams and individuals.
* Good leadership skills.
* Good organizational skills.
* Ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Very good communication skills whether verbal, written or non verbal.
* Approachable, open minded and fair.
* Highly flexible with high energy level.
