Position: Health Club/Spa Attendant
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing exceptional service to guests using the Fitness Center. Greets guests arriving at the Fitness Center and provides information regarding Fitness Center facilities and services and hotel Recreation offerings. Registers guests using the Fitness Center. Verifies registered guest status and posts Fitness Center usage fee to guest’s room account. Provides towels and locker room keys to guests. Makes Fitness Trainer and Massage reservations for guests. Sells merchandise and performs cashier functions.
? Adheres to all Fitness Center safety standards and procedures
? Greets guests arriving at the Fitness Center
? Provides information about Fitness Center and other hotel Recreation offerings
? Registers individuals using Fitness Center, verifying registered guest status
? Posts charges for use of Fitness Center to guest room accounts
? Provides tours of Fitness Center
? Provides towels, robes, and locker room keys
? Sells merchandise
? Makes massage and Personal Trainer reservations for guests
? Maintains magazine and newspaper selection for guest access
? Restocks and refreshes locker room amenities
? Applies excellent guest relations skills when interacting with guests
? Conducts regular rounds of Fitness Center ensuring the cleanliness of the facility and safe operation of equipment
? Wipes down exercise equipment with sanitizing solution
? Maintains and refills water containers
? Operates TV/video and stereo equipment according to Loews Hotels guidelines
? Maintains proper organization and condition of free weights
? Maintains the cleanliness of sauna and steam room
? Performs all duties in a timely and professional manner
? Turns in lost and found items throughout shift according to hotel procedures
? Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory of pool towels and robes throughout shift, obtaining clean towels and robes from the laundry and returning used towels and robes
? Attends all department meetings as scheduled
? Other duties as assigned

? Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
? Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
? Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
? Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
? Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
? Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
? Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
? Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
? Recycles whenever possible
? Remains current with hotel information and changes
? Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
Required Skills and Experience:
? High School Diploma
? Minimum one year previous Fitness Center experience
? Excellent communications skills – oral and written
? Excellent guest service skills
? Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
