Job Description
Our 55,000 square foot gaming floor is home to around 1,500 of the newest slot products and the hottest games in the market. Our spacious 24 table pit includes the games of craps, blackjack and roulette. Ameristar also has the largest poker room in the state of Colorado.

Safety Requirement:
Safety is a core value at Ameristar and vital to our operation. The ability to work safely and prevent personal injury is a key job requirement of every position and very important to our organization. If an unsafe condition is identified, each Team Member is expected to correct or report the condition.
Position Purpose:
The facilities supervisor is responsible for ensure the successful completion of facility projects and managing and developing the team members of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Oversees the operations of the Facilities department and reports directly to the Facilities Manager.
-Serves as a leader for Team Members and contracted workers while fostering teamwork, high team member morale, motivation and open communication.
-Coaches Team Members while developing their skill levels using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
-Strives to improve and streamline departmental operations through continuous assessment of work processes and program effectiveness/value and training.
-Allocates resources to areas that create value for our guests as well as Ameristar.
-Endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Ameristar.
-Helps maintain and enhance a safe, secure and comfortable environment for both our guests and Team Members.
-Provides primary and specialized support for all mechanical equipment, related systems (i.e. HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, restaurant, plumbing, structural, etc.), and all general building/facilities both interior and exterior (i.e. carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.) through delegation of responsibilities to the crew and personal hands-on performance.
-Provides routine and miscellaneous inspections regarding new installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and procedures.
-Tests air handlers, exhaust fans, pumps, domestic water systems, fire protections systems, restaurant equipment, waste systems, electrical systems, chillers, heat exchangers, separators, etc.
-Designs and develops support strategies to enhance performance, capability, reliability of specific systems, and assists the department team in the development of long-term capital planning.
- Monitors parts and supplies inventory to maintain adequate supply of necessary parts while avoiding excess or obsolete inventory items.
Job Requirements
-Must have strong leadership skills and be able to work motivate team through positive communication.
-Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
-Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
-Experience with Microsoft Office is strongly preferred.
-Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Must have at least two years experience at a commercial property. Hotel experience is preferred.
-Must have at least one year in a managerial role.
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
-Must be able to work with all levels of the organization.
-Must have strong internal and external customer service skills.
-Must be detailed oriented.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming license at all times.
