Job Description
? Willingness to accept the most effective role.
? Participates fully in Project Green Wolf, our company-wide environmental sustainability initiative, which includes, but is not limited to, recycling, waste reduction, and energy and water conservation.
? Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace through adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Great Wolf Resorts handbook.
? Research Design
o Work collaboratively with Project Leads including Marketing and related agencies, Revenue Management, Guest Relations, and the Executive Team to design research studies including data collection techniques and technologies, design of experiments, and sampling methodologies.
o Work independently or together with a Project Lead to develop project proposals including project objectives, deliverables, approach, expenses, timeline, and assumptions for select projects.
o Assist agency in the development of field research (e.g., customer intercepts, shop-alongs, and ethnographic observation).
o Work closely with Revenue Management and Operational Analytics to ensure data driven initiatives are scientifically supported where necessary.
? Analytics
o Develop analysis plans for qualitative and quantitative research studies (e.g., identify appropriate descriptive and/or inferential methods, outline analytic steps and relevant cuts of the data).
o Clean, prep, and conduct quality assurance tests of data provided by external sources.
o Conduct quantitative analyses of research data using SPSS, including descriptive, correlational, and multivariate analyses.
o Conduct qualitative analysis of research data, including classification and theme analysis.
o Stay abreast of new analytic methods and technologies and support development of these new capabilities internally.
o Develop and maintain customer segmentation in coordination with the Digital Direct and Analytics team.
o Analyze New Customer Acquisition channels and how those customers repeat Append demographic data for use in segmentation and ultimately media placement.
o Establish, monitor, and enhance lifetime value of customers.
? Data Collection
o Draft and program sophisticated and user-friendly online surveys.
o Work closely with Operational Analytics to ensure survey data, BI data, and customer data is structured appropriately for research efforts.
o Develop data management plans for research projects (e.g., data storage, archiving, version control, etc.)
o Reporting and Deliverables
? Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop clear, compelling reports of analytic results and insights.
? Present findings and recommendations to the relevant department and team members, including assumptions, data problems, and future/continuing research guidance.
Job Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree in statistics, operations research, economics, consumer sciences, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
? Excellent analytical skills and detailed knowledge of excel.
? Experience working with large data sets and applying statistical models, including predictive modeling, in an academic or professional setting.
? Experience with varied qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, as well as sampling methodologies and design of experiments.
? Ability to learn and retain information quickly
? Understanding of general database structure.
? Experience with one or more programming languages. Experience with SAS, SPSS, R or related programming languages preferred.
