Based at our Greenwood Village Home Office you will assist department management with planning and organizing department activities and the annual audit plan.
You will also plan risk assessments relating to each assignment to ensure that the engagement identifies potential business risks and help to develop audit programs to address risk areas.
Other Duties Include:
Execute detailed audit procedures, including reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies & procedures to evaluate effectiveness of internal controls.
Perform investigations associated with loss detection at the restaurant level, including data monitoring and/or site visits.
Understanding of technology related risks and ability to assess company IT general controls (system access and security, logical access, SDLC/change management, etc.).
Prepare work papers which record and summarize audit procedures performed.
Prepare audit reports and presentations to management based on the results of audit procedures performed.
Develop recommendations and proposals for corrective action/improvement.
Ensure that all follow-up on recommendations is performed timely.
Responsible for making audit conclusions and recommendations on their own projects. Takes ownership of their own work product.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in Big 4 Public Accounting, internal audit outsourcing firm and/or corporate internal audit experience in Fortune 1000 company.
CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred.
Thorough knowledge of principles, procedures, and techniques of auditing, accounting, and business operations.
Restaurant industry experience
Loss prevention / fraud investigation experience
ACL/Access or similar data analytics experience
Sarbanes-Oxley experience
Energetic and effective communicator able to work with executive management and directors.
Proficient interviewing techniques and the ability to coordinate the gathering, reporting, and dissemination of information.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and project management skills
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong business and common sense.
Willing to travel approximately 10-20%.
