Job Description

The Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is currently
hiring for the 2013 season for a full time banquet
houseman.

Primary Tasks:
* Cleans Function Rooms Prior to Set-up.
* Sets equipment to Daily Work Sheet specifications.
* Provides required amenities, as dictated by Banquet
Department Standards.
* Refreshes meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks.
* Breaks down meeting rooms as soon as possible after
end of function.
* Completes Special Projects as directed by department
management.
* Moves convention material boxes, programs, etc. from
hotel receiving docks, registration areas, sleeping
rooms, or suites.
* Caring for the equipment, shampooing banquet chairs
* Accommodates special customer needs, hanging banners
for meetings and food/beverage functions.
* Responsible for reporting all product/service defects,
and measuring process attributes as applicable.


Essential Tasks:
Setting up and breaking down function areas for
banquets, meetings, conventions and other special
functions; refreshing meeting rooms during breaks in
meetings, cleaning up ballroom and meeting rooms after
functions, moving furniture within hotel suites;
maintaining clean storeroom; restocking set-up carts;
gathering extra equipment throughout hotel and replacing
it in storeroom

Job Requirements

* Previous experience preferred.

* Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs .

* Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of
time .

* Must be able to work in an outdoor environment when
needed .

* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include
nights and weekends .

* Friendly demeanor and hospitable.
