Hotel Overview: The Fairmont Orchid Hawai'i is a luxury AAA four-diamond Kohala Coast oceanfront resort with white sand lagoon, Hawaiian Spa Without Walls, golf, extensive meeting facilities, year-round children's program, five restaurants and tennis, all serviced with Aloha. We are currently looking for new colleagues to join our 'Ohana and share that Aloha here at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai'i.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Preparing for the pre-arrival of the Japanese guests, assisting in their arrival experience
* Works as concierge and liaison with the Far East wholesale and transient markets, it's guests, clients, groups and VIP's
* Working as a team with other departments. The AGS team is wholly responsible for ensuring that all of the offerings we have in English can be communicated to this critical market segment in a way that they will understand

* Previous Guest service experience preferred
* Seeking candidate with High School Degree
* Some experience required
* Must be able to speak, read, and write in English and Japanese
* Must have intermediate math skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
* Must have basic computer skills
* Must have intermediate problem solving skills including the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
* Must be able to solve simple problems
* Must have excellent Guest Service skills
* Must be able to multi task Will frequently use hotel property management system, experience with such programs is preferred
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
