Job Description

Job Overview:

The main function of the Host/Hostess is to facilitate the prompt and accurate seating and service of all guests and help servers in assuring quality customer service while providing a warm and welcoming environment.  Assist coworkers throughout the restaurant when possible.

Essential Functions:

· Effectively model and maintain resort mission statement and guiding principles.

· Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.

· Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.

· Effective in listening, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
· Complete opening/closing checklists according to standards.
· Take reservations for Outlet.

· Have full knowledge of entire menu, as well as daily specials, desserts, etc.

· Comply with resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.

· Ensure compliance with all health department regulations.

· Maintain the cleanliness of Outlet, complete side work as assigned.

· Have knowledge of beverage options to up sell aggressively.

· Meet and greet guests.

· Monitor guest for intoxication and report such findings to manager immediately.

· Daily check of physical plant of restaurant areas.

· Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance.

· Assist in table maintenance and reset as needed.

· Attend all required meetings.

· Work flexible hours and shifts.

· Other duties as required.
