Full Time Restaurant Server
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is the award-winning owner and operator of some of the world's most prestigious hotels and resorts. This position is located in our newest property addition in The Americas. Formerly known as The Mansion on Peachtree, the Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta, luxury hotel comprises 127 spacious guestrooms and suites, providing guests with unparalleled views of the city. Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant and lounge bar, as well as a wide selection of meeting rooms, including a 130-seat ballroom. The extensive spa facilities are complete with 14 treatment rooms and will feature signature therapies for which Mandarin Oriental spas are renowned.
SERVERS - Flexible Availability
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
Set tables according to type of event and service standards
Answer questions on menu selections; communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders and product availability; communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen
Record transaction in MICROS system at the time of order; present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
REQUIREMENTS
* Must have a good knowledge of food and preparation
* Must have a good Knowledge of wine
* Must be able to relate to all levels of Guests and management.
* Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
* Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
* Must be able to consistently delight and satisfy our Guest
* Must have very good communication skills
POSITION FUNCTIONS
* Provide excellent service at all time to all of our guests
* Assist Guest courteously and efficiently
* Set up tables up to our standard
* Maintain the dining room and station clean at all the time
* Keep chairs and bench clean and clear of debris
* Take customer food and beverage order
* Knowledge of food and beverage to be able to service and up sell the product
* Set up side station
* Set up wine and soda station
* Follow the steps of service - approach of table / delivery of beverages / taking food order / service follow up
* Attend monthly role play related to food service and beverage service
* Comply to all Massachusetts liquor law service requirements
* Make sure that all silver and glasses are spotless
* Mark tables appropriately to food order
* Make sure that all product served are accounted for on the final bill
* Set up tables according to floor plan
* At the end of the shift deliver all checks and report to the appropriate place according to rules
* Follow the cleaning program for the restaurant established in the side work sheet
* Up keep and clear tables between courses throughout the meal
* Generates a good atmosphere
