Food and Beverage Supervisor - CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort - Orlando

Seeking an Food and Beverage Supervisor to support the F&B operation in busy Water Resort Hotel. Position will oversee front of house staff and kitchen staff as well as banquets. Catering and/or banquets experience a plus. Must be outgoin, energentic, and ready to be a working member of the team training associates on the floor as well as servicing guests and events as needed. Supervises operation that includes the following: Full Service Restaurant (Mid-scale dining), two fast food outlets, two resort bar operations, pool servers and banquets. Hourly position pays $11+ DOE.

The restaurant supervisor's main function is to promote and ensure guest satisfaction, achieved through his/her ability to develop and maintain a strong team environment, placing emphasis on associate satisfaction and delivery of prompt, courteous, correct service. The restaurant supervisor is accountable for sales and profit in his/her area.

*Open and close shift in accordance with manager's checklist.
*Initiate aggressive guest interaction through seeking and soliciting feedback from guests.
*Properly execute revenue and check control procedures on shift.
*Handle daily associate relations (e.g., scheduling, time adjustments).
*Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and guests.
*Gather and implement all proper tools for running shift, (e.g., schedules, floor plans, reservations, checks).
*Find solutions for problems such as call outs, last minute bookings or any other daily problems that may arise.
*During shift, ensure that guests are satisfied by assisting with serving, seating, communication with kitchen and by striving to speak to all guests.
*Be on the floor during entire meal period and ensure adequate coverage.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of two years food service or related hospitality management experience.
2. Written/verbal communication skills.
3. Demonstrated leadership qualities.
4. Able to work with teams.
5. Basic technical knowledge of restaurant operations.
6. Demonstrated hospitality skills.
7. Demonstrated strong work ethic.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the shift's operations in the restaurant and liaise with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, compliance with procedures and safety regulation and an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are achieved.

Supervise the restaurant employees; interview, recommend hiring, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, recommend performance reviews, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline as appropriate.

Respond to customer needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.

Update the cash register system and comile and prepare various reports to aid in the administration of the restaurant.

Supervise the maintenance/sanitation of the restaurant and equipment during hte shift to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.

Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Participate in task forces and commitees as required.

Other duties as assigned.
