Clearwater Yacht Club, located on the #1 rated beach in the nation beautiful Clearwater Beach Florida, is pleased to announce a search for a Dining and Beverage Manager. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to members and guests, while delivering financial sound business results.

Position Summary: This manager overseas all aspects of dining service and all aspects of bar operations (including ordering, inventory control as well as service). This manager is predominantly responsible for front of house operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance and resolving problems.
  • Prepares an annual financial budget and manages operations to attain established goals throughout the year through proper weekly forecasting, cost controls, labor management and revenue generating programs.
  • Assures effective orientation and training given to each employee in the front of house F&B operations.
  • Supervises inventories of materials and supplies for the dining and bar operations (including inventory control of liquor).
  • Plans facility set up for daily operations to include lunch, dinner and brunch service, as well as meetings and special functions.
  • Oversees dining room operations during daily service and special events.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills.
  • Understanding of a la carte dining and banquet revenue generation.
  • Extensive knowledge of both labor and expense control forecasting.
  • Experience with purchasing and inventory systems.
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, point of sale system and payroll management (CYC uses JONAS).
  • Thorough knowledge of the proper procedures and techniques for food and beverage, formal a la carte and banquet service.
  • A club professional with a strong "hands on" work ethic and team mentality.

Educational Requirements

  • College degree required, Hospitality Management education preferred. 5+ years experience in food and beverage, private club/fine dining/restaurant management preferred.
