The Aquarium - Front Manager

The Aquarium located in beautiful downtown Houston, TX is seeking an energetic and experienced Restaurant Floor/Front Manager to join their team! 

The Front Manager directs and oversees activities of workers engaged in selling food and alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.  

In addition to owning and operating hotels, casinos and entertainment complexes, Landry's, Inc is one of the largest full-service restaurant operators in the United States with over 480 locations in 40 states and 15 countries.  We operate restaurants primarily under the names of Rainforest Cafe, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Morton's - The Steakhouse, McCormick & Schmick's, Landry's Seafood, The Chart House, Oceanaire, Bubba Gump, and Claim Jumper, plus our upscale signature group of restaurants which includes Vic & Anthony's.  We are also engaged in the ownership and operation of select hospitality/entertainment businesses and casinos including The Golden Nugget casinos, The Kemah Boardwalk, and the Historic Galveston Island Pleasure Pier.  We need high caliber, experienced individuals to join our organization.   If your skills and talents are a match for our needs, we can open the door to career opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Estimates and orders foods, liquors, wines, or other beverages, and supplies.
• Responds to customer complaints concerning service, food, and beverages.
• Ensures customer service and satisfaction.
• Utilizes leadership skills and motivates employees to ensure cost control and labor management.
• Monitors sales and service personnel.
• Inspects establishment and observes workers and patrons to ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards and liquor regulations.
• Plans and arranges promotional programs and advertisements.
• Ensures paperwork accuracy such as daily sales summary reports, petty cash reimbursement forms, and payroll records.
• Hires hourly employees.
