General Manager

BPR Properties is seeking a General Manager for the Crowne Plaza Cabana Hotel in Palo Alto. The 195 room hotel has recently completed a full renovation of all guest rooms, public areas and meeting space. The hotel also features extensive meeting and banquet space, and the 4290 Bistro and Bar restaurant.

We seek an experienced GM with a background in full service franchised hotels, preferably with Crowne Plaza or other IHG brand properties. Prior experience working for an independent company is also helpful.

We are looking for candidates that are sales savvy, creative and consider themselves as thinking "out of the box". Previous experience in a new or newly renovated hotel is also strongly preferred. Required critical skills include: Leadership, Vision, Communication and Critical Thinking. A background in F&B is important, as are strong financial analysis skills.

This position will be responsible for all facets of the operation, including:

1. Revenue production
2. Oversight of sales and marketing efforts, including revenue maximization strategies
3. Forecasting and budgeting
4. Expense control, financial management and achieving profit goals
5. Effective employee attraction, training, retention and satisfaction programs
6. Risk management
7. Achieving consistently high customer service satisfaction scores
8. Planning and management of capital improvement programs
9. Ownership and management reporting
    

• BA degree or higher level is preferred, but equivalent education and experience will be considered.
