The Garden City Hotel, Long Island's Leading Luxury Hotel, has a career opportunity for an experienced Assistant Pastry Chef.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to supervising and coordinating the activities of cooks engaged in the preparation of desserts, pastries, confections, and ice cream; assist in planning production for Pastry Department according to menu or special requirements, supplying recipes for, and suggesting methods and procedures to Pastry Cooks, creating table and pastry decorations (such as statuaries and sugar paste and icing ornaments), requisitioning supplies and equipment.

 

 

Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills required.

The ideal candidate will have prior luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant experience.
