Job Details

*Responsible to supervise 2-3 Maintenance Tech.
*Responsible for maintaining daily records of Engineering rounds and call sheets, work orders, inspection sheets, mechanical rooms, equipment records.
*Responsible for all outside inspections of the hotel; i.e., fire marshal, state departments, etc.
*Monitor out-of-order rooms on a daily basis.
*Responsible for daily monitoring of environmental systems.
*Responsible for any and all projects given by the General Manager that pertain to the betterment of the hotel.
*Responsible for delivering all Service Standards to both guests and associates at all times.
*Responsible for satisfying all OSHA requirements.
*Solicits and evaluates Engineering contracts.
*Reacts and solves in-house Engineering problems as soon as possible.
*Responsible for the hiring and training of engineering personnel.Responsible for the upkeep and Engineering of complete hotel facility and grounds.
*Responsible for scheduling and recording periodic maintenance and inspection on all equipment, guest rooms and all furniture, fixtures and equipment.
*Responsible for providing information and training in regard to all emergency procedures; i.e., fire safety, fire equipment and also for conducting drills for all emergency procedures.
*Responsible for maintaining daily records for the pool for the Health Department.
*Responsible for maintaining a log of all Engineering requests and completion of same.
*Responsible for constant updating of associates records; i.e., performance reviews, personnel action forms, to insure compliance with State and Federal laws.
*Able to take charge in emergency situation when upper management is off property.
*Responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for associates and guests.
*Knows the physical location and layout of hotel, hours of operation, and capacities of all outlets and function rooms.
*Understands and communicates information to the guest concerning hotels safety and security features, services, facilities, etc.
*Understands and oversees hotel systems of key control; both mechanical and electronic.
*Responsible for the maintaining and ensuring the regulatory compliance of all smoke and fire detection and suppression systems.
*Understands that Engineering and Security Departments are responsible for overall hotel fire safety.
*Qualifies to administer first aid and knows where all first aid boxes are located in the hotel.
*Oversees all hazardous material handling and storage


NO RELOCATION IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION

Experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical and HVAC in the hospitality industry

Two years experience in similar position

Must be computer literate

Must have knowledge of hotel management, budgeting and cost control

Good associate/guest relation skills with strong emphasis in communication and problem solving techniques
