POSITION PURPOSE
The Marketing Manager will report to the General Manager, with a dotted line to the designated Field Marketing Director. The position will have the primary responsibility of the marketing efforts to support revenue generation and sales strategies for the hotel(s). This would include the implementation and execution of marketing strategies that achieve the goals related to the ideal market mix, pricing, brand status, direct sales, and brand marketing efforts. The goal is to drive revenue in all customer segments. The position is accountable for the implementation of Brand packages and practices, and the successful execution of special events and promotional programs at the hotel(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage all brand packages and practices for the hotel(s) including special events and promotional opportunities to ensure that they are in keeping with the Brand vision, and property goals. Coordinate with GM and management team as well as the Field Marketing Director, to execute at the property level. Will include ordering and managing all package components. Maintaining marketing and happenings calendars for the hotel(s). Act as marketing conduit for information regarding the properties specific need periods and coordinate information flow back to field and brand marketing regarding the properties seasonality and opportunities. Manage all marketing channels and prepare all marketing communications for the hotel(s) to include online media, Special Offers Pages (transient and meetings), StarGuest Communication messaging and print media. Maintain, manage and update all collateral assets for the hotel, maintaining all brand communication guidelines and standards. Manage property web pages to include updates and recommendations for changes and enhancements to content. Coordinate all public relations and promotional activities that support the needs of the hotel(s), with a focus on improved revenue performance. This could include photo shoots, broadcasts, celebrity interviews and other specific events that require personal attention. Also forge local partnerships and review opportunities for local level promotions and sponsorships to gain recognition and beneficial status within the community.
Education:
Bachelors degree in marketing or related field required.
Experience:
2-3 years of marketing experience.
Other:
Bilingual or multilingual ability preferred.
