Assistant Controller

Sonesta Resort, located in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking an Assistant Controller.

Job Overview:

Assists in oversight of the Accounting operation under the guidance of the Director of Finance & Accounting. Ensures all functions are being performed accurately, on a timely basis and according to hotel standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

                Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent and 2+ years in hotel accounting or audit with experience in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. CPA preferred. MBA preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
