Job Description

The Hilton Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort & Conference Center is Chicago's premier destination golf resort, spa getaway and conference center ideal for meetings, conferences, retreats or romantic getaways. We are seeking experienced and energetic Servers to join our team.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & WORK ETHIC

- Excellent English reading, writing and math skills required
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and perform extensive standing and walking, including stairs
- May be required to perform diverse physical tasks
- Possible hazards include, but are not limited to, slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains.
- Ability to taste and evaluate food products to Hilton standards. Holds self accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service
- Experience serving customers in an outgoing environment
- Executes show quality standards at all times
- Experience in Business, Hospitality, Culinary or related field
- Previous dining experience a plus
- Integrity of character is essential. Must have pleasant personality in order to maintain positive morale among employees, guests and upper level management
- Must be a high-energy, team-player who is self-motivated with a positive attitude and approach to all business needs and expectations, both within the resort and with our guests
- A passion for food is a must, along with eagerness to learn
- Must be able to cooperate and work along side all resort departments to foster and promote a harmonious work environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift and carry thirty pounds
Must be able to work forty hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
