Applecross Country Club seeks FULL TIME Manager for its Fitness, Pool and Tennis operations (“Amenities”).

Facilities and services include:

• Indoor pool and Jacuzzi
• Seasonal outdoor junior Olympic pool
• 10,000 sq foot fitness center with complete cardio and strength training state of the art equipment
• Fitness Classroom for spin classes, yoga, aerobics, zumba etc
• 2 hard surface tennis courts
• Poolside snack bar and bar
• Personal Training

FULL TIME Manager Job description

Manage all Amenity facilities for:

• Building R&M
• Supplies
• Janitorial
• Equipment R&M
• Staffing for summertime pool desk
• Manage outside pool service and oversee vendor supplied lifeguards
• Work with F&B mgmt for snack bar and bar summertime staff
• Member events –assist GM and F&B staff for summertime events Memorial Day, July 4^th and Labor Day weekends and other miscellaneous member functions at the pool
• Swim Team Management and Organization
• Tennis clinic and private lesson programs
• Manage and schedule staff of subcontracted fitness professionals for classes including spin, yoga, aerobics etc. Collect all monies, provide revenue and expense reports re same
• New Member orientation and sign up
• Biggest Loser annual contest
• Member communications for all amenity related classes, programs, events, important news etc
• Responsible for achieving all membership and retail sales goals
• Maintain professional and impeccable clinic environment for employees and members/guests
• Responsible for generating sales reports, payroll, bank deposits, inventory and ordering supplies

Qualifications

• Management experience with Fitness Center or Health Club
• Customer service oriented self-motivator with ability to manage Member to Member situations appropriately
• Familiarity with ACSM guidelines and standards for operating a fitness facility
• Personal Training certification preferred
• CPR Certification within 30 days of employment
• Lifeguard Certification before May 1^st, 2013
• Computer Literacy for excel, word, email, flyers
• Management, marketing and sales experience in service/ retail industry
• Ability to identify and problem solve, set expectations and goals and delegate
• Ability to effectively communicate expectations to staff
• Able to communicate up-line information to Franchise Owners and Regional Developers
• Proficiency in generating membership and retail sales goals and interpreting trends in sales reports
• Excellent trainer and motivator
   

Compensation program is commensurate with experience. Total Compensation package includes :

• Base Salary
• Bonus for New Non Resident Members
• Bonus for personal training and fitness class net revenue
• Bonus for overall department performance
• Health and other fringe benefits per the company plan
• Manager may provide personal training or other fitness, tennis or pool related classes and retain the majority of those generated revenues
