The Residence Inn in Maumee, OH is currently looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly-motivated leader to join our sales team.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for the following:
* Generating top line revenue through new accounts development.
* Instrumental in the development and implementation of the annual business/marketing plan.
* Forecasting sales revenue and departmental expenses.
* Conducting sales calls to key accounts or major prospects while promoting the hotel through personal involvement in community and business networking organizations.
* Maintaining an effective sales activity reporting system
* Providing exemplary guest service and setting performance example for junior staff to follow.
* Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience
* Must have hotel sales experience, Marriott experience is a huge plus
* Superior customer service skills and work ethic
* Effective business communication skills
* Skills for negotiation and interpretation of contracts
* Excellent interpersonal communication and networking skills for garnering effective relationships
* Ability to compose and deliver effective sales presentations
* Organizational skills including follow up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Skills for problem-solving, analysis and effective decision-making
* Computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
