Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Filing, screening incoming calls and correspondence and responding independently when possible, or as directed. Distribute sales leads to the appropriate manager. Maintain supply of sales packets of information for use by sales mangers. Ensure overall efficiency of the sales department's daily operations.
*Enter bookings within hotel system; build room blocks; create SRP's; input group reservations/rooming lists
* Compile and maintain sales database and spreadsheet files for sales and marketing use.
* Prepares status and period end reports to keep management abreast of activities. Prepares forecasts and critiques to support conclusions.
* Create BEO's, audio-visual coordination, follow-up during actual event, qualifies small group calls, assists in menu planning. Creates, inputs and maintains database.
* Prepares group sales business files. Distributes resumes to respective departments. Manages billing letters, thank you letters, and critiques for sales.
*Assist in phone reservations for transient guests.
One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent phone skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Previous hotel experience helpful.
