In a city filled with world class hotels, only one is a Palace... Our world class, luxury hotel is seeking an experienced Executive Steward to join our team of professionals.

1. Manage the Stewarding staff to maintain an orderly and sanitary environment for all food and beverage operations, to include all food and beverage outlets and employee cafeteria.

2. Maintain the cleanliness of all stewarding areas, including the loading dock. Maintain and update a cleaning schedule so that the food service areas meet or exceed the health inspection requirements.

3. Maintain a monthly, quarterly and annual inventory of glassware, china and silverware.

4. In charge of scheduling, payroll, and training of staff, and monitoring of staff performance and productivity (including staffing and operation of the employee cafeteria)

5. Responsible for the budgeting of the entire department.

6. Ensure the safety of the staff by providing proper equipment/material and educating staff for proper chemical usage.

7. Coordinate and organize daily, weekly and monthly departmental meetings.

8. Check all banquet event orders and coordinate with other departmental needs.

9. Develop new programs or ideas on how to lower breakage and losses.

10. Order and receive new/rental material upon events, inspect the cleanliness and ensure safe transportation.

11. Ensure that all outlets are properly stocked.

1. 3 to 5 years Food & Beverage management experience required with a minimum of 3 years as Executive Steward.

2. Luxury union hotel experience required.

3. Extensive NYC labor relations experienced required.

4. Excellent administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills.

5. Strong management and leadership skills required.
