The Revenue Manager candidate will be an energetic team player with at least two years of full service hotel revenue management experience with one hotel or multiple hotels. The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing room revenue through the development and implementation of effective inventory management and pricing strategies. The RM will monitor all distribution channels to ensure parity and pricing integrity. The RM will initially be responsible for 1 to 2 hotels and will be expected to take on additional assigned properties in our growing portfolio. The RM will analyze reports to understand future demand forecast and past trends and translate this information to set and/or adjust strategies leading to increased market share and REVPAR growth.
The RM will report to the VP of Sales & Marketing. and work closely with our Regional Director of Revenue Management. The position is based at our Corporate headquarters in Greenbelt, Maryland and travel to the hotels will be at a minimum.
* Maximize REVPAR by analyzing and forecasting demand while establishing effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, and optimal market mix
* Facilitate daily and weekly revenue strategy meetings
* Work in tandem with the hotel DOSM and hotel team to establish strategies to increase top-line revenue
* Contribute to the financial success of the hotel by participating in annual budgeting and sales and marketing plan development.
* Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports
* Maintain historical data from all distribution channels, in all market segments
* Create and maintain accurate month to month, quarterly and yearly forecasting
* Analyze and optimize distribution channels for maximum benefit of penetration
* Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis to ensure proper rate positioning and product offering relative to competition
* Work with Revenue Management for Hire (RMH) for some IHG hotels
