Based in New York City, The DMC Group is the North American Sales & Marketing Office for a select group of Destination Management Companies worldwide.  We are seeking a high energy, creative individual to join our Sales Team. 

The DMC Group is a boutique consortium of worldwide Destination Management Companies that specialize in high-end Incentives, Events, Conventions and Meetings. Established in 1996 by Philippa Durrant, The DMC Group now encompasses 10 Destination Management Companies operating in 26 countries. The following is a complete list of our DMCs and the destinations they cover:

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the Sales Team's development and execution of sales and marketing campaigns to promote our destinations and DMCs to our client base of incentive houses, travel companies and corporations
  • Qualify and solicit MICE business and sales from leads provided by the company
  • Work with clients to develop their incentive programs from inception to sale
  • Organize, execute and conduct nationwide sales trips
  • Attend and organize tradeshows and roadshows
  • Accompany Incentive Buyers on educationals to our destinations
  • Assist in content management of website, PowerPoint presentations and various social media platforms
  • Must have knowledge of and experience in the MICE market
  • 3-5 years related industry experience with tourism boards, incentive houses, event planning companies, hotel or airline group sales
  • Excellent sales demeanor, verbal and written communication ability, and strong presentation skills
  • Understanding and appreciation of international destinations and cultures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, small office environment
  • Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule
  • Good organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task
  • Familiarity with Macs/apple computers a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with Photoshop and other web design programs a plus
