Director of Catering
Job Details
We are currently searching for an experienced Director of Catering to join our team and represent our beautiful Marriott in Riverside.
- Prospect and qualify new business by conducting regular market drives, utilizing reports and in-house guest lists, industry publications, etc.
- Pro-actively solicit new accounts for hotel by making face-to-face sales calls in the assigned market or on a regular basis or as appropriate.
- Responsible for achieving goals as established in the business plan.
- Follow consistent office procedures by updating account database, record account activity, call reports, traces and history.
- Direct Catering and Banquet operations to internal audit standards.
- Execute prompt and courteous service to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded.
- Facilitate BEO meetings
- Direct and supervise Catering Sales Manager and administrative staff.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other departments, associates and guests.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or hospitality related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Director of Catering required.
- Above average knowledge with computers
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
