Bookit.com is seeking experienced travel professionals as Market Managers in the State of Florida in the Panhandle and South Florida regions. Prior travel industry experience is required. Individual will conduct high level negotiations for net rates, marketing and promotional plans. Individual will manage new and existing preferred hotel and destination relationships and will be responsible for business development in assigned territory. Position is home based with a high level of autonomy. Seeking a highly competitive and self-motivated individual with a "rocket style" energy level. Individual will have full responsibility and autonomy to manage product placement, store merchandising, and pricing.
Candidates Job Duties Include:
- Contracting, sales, and marketing in assigned markets
- Negotiation of national and international corporate net rate agreements
- Organization and execution of co-op marketing and override programs for corporate clients, tourism boards, and other travel partners with focus on marketing based production rather than advertising
- Ensuring adequate inventory to support market growth.
- Developing and implementing pricing and promotional strategy for assigned product
- Writing promotional content
- Managing upload of rates and inventory into consumer site
- Teaching clients' use of extranet system
- Providing management with business plan, forecasts and production reports on assigned markets
- Facilitate training of in house personnel on assigned accounts.
Candidates Must Meet These Absolute Requirements:
- Seasoned travel industry professional skilled in consultative style negotiation
- A quick and convincing verbal communication style as well as a natural ability to think and act independently. Ability to speak publicly and direct action of others
- Knowledge of English grammar with good commercial writing skills
- Proficiency in virtual product acquisition for an online travel model. Must have travel experience.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, and five years of related travel experience as Business Development, Hotel Revenue/Sales, or Market Management.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft word, excel and outlook. Must be proficient with internet searching and browsing.

This is a home based position in the Panhandle or South Florida Regions. Candidate must live or be willing to relocate within 100 miles of assigned area.
