Job Description

Revenue Analyst to work closely with the Regional Revenue Manager in setting effective rate strategies based on current trends, available inventory and market demand with the ultimate goal of increasing hotel's market share.

Provide detailed market analysis to Regional Revenue Manager and assist in setting effective pricing strategies which would increase room revenues for the hotels.

Work in partnership with the Regional Revenue Manager and assist in maintaining all distribution channels, including OTA's, Direct Website, and GDS, to ensure rates and all hotel related information being displayed is current and accurate.

Generate and distribute weekly and monthly revenue management reports. Responsible for creation of Excel spreadsheets to assist in analyzing trends and hotel performance.

Revenue Analyst to provide Regional Revenue Manager with short / long term market analysis and assist in the forecasting and future budgeting process for the hotels.

Analyze competitor pricing and share results and suggestions with Regional Revenue Manager to ensure that the hotel's rates are properly positioned within the market.

Work directly with Regional Revenue Manager in preparation of hotel's annual budget and marketing plans.

Work with Regional Revenue Manager to develop and maintain relationships with Key Internet accounts and ensure that hotel's rates, availability and placement on the sites are favorable

Job Requirements
  • At least two years of hotel revenue management / reservations department experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Previous experience utilizing property management systems and/or reservation systems.
  • Ability to provide detailed analysis of STAR weekly and Monthly reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to build and maintain spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills a must, with heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of Internet distribution and mentoring 3rd party strategic partnerships.
  • Knowledge of competitive market preferred
  • Ability to use PMS, reservation and revenue management systems to forecast and implement optimal
    strategies
  • Command of the written language both written and verbal
  • Proficient in utilizing the features available in Microsoft word and excel
  • Possess the ability to independently evaluate problems, issues, or challenges and develop, investigate, and implement solutions to resolve these challenges.
  • Possess the ability to independently maneuver through links on websites that contain area that can be edited
