Holiday Inn Denver is conveniently located in Cherry Creek. This hotel consists of 269 newly renovated guest rooms including  9,000 square ft. of flexible function space, indoor swimming pool, onsite fitness center and restaurant.
We are currently seeking a Sales Professional to help us leap into the future. This position will actively solicit new business through prospecting and cold calling and also maintain the existing business through continued relationship building.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/ or convention business.
- Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Develops a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and reservations.
- Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirms in writing to the client all requirements via sales contract.
- Maintains and participates in an active sales solicitation program.
- Attends and represents company at trade shows and city-wide conventions.
- Accurately forecasts all bookings and cancelations.
- Operates the Sales Department within established sales expense budget.
- Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
- Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Participates in required Manager on Duty and Saturday office coverage as scheduled.

Education/Experience:  
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* The qualified candidate for this position must at least 2-3 years of hotel sales experience.

Skills:
* Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
* Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
* Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
* Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
* Detail oriented, with strong organizational traits
* Proactive sales approach, assertive and fast-paced, driven to succeed.
* Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
* Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
* Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
* Strong computer proficiency in sales software, Microsoft Office, Excel.
* Phone & email etiquette

Working Conditions:
* Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
* Will be required to work in fast paced environment.
