Responsible for performing hotel security functions, to include fire prevention, safety, investigation, and resolution of guest and employee complaints regarding safety and security matters.
Job Tasks:
- Patrols Property, public areas, guest floors and associate areas.
- Monitors surveillance cameras.
- Challenges suspicious persons.
- Checks for fire prevention situations.
- Checks and inspect fire equipment.
- Checks Fire emergency exits.
- Checks all hotel lighting (interior and exterior).
- Checks for safety hazards and report.
- Dispatches security assignments.
- Responds to various security assignments.
- Responds to emergency medical situations.
- Responds to fire alarms and acknowledge fire control panel.
- Writes reports.
- Investigates complaints.
- Responds to disturbance complaints.
- Assists outside agencies when necessary.
- Provides security escorts.
- Provides key assist into secured areas after hours.
- Responds to security alarms.
- Investigates accidents.
- Inspects signs through hotel areas.
- Distributes associate paychecks.
- Makes Time Cards.
- Performs parking lot duty as needed.
- Performs associate injury reports (Workers’ Compensation forms).
- Prepares, maintains and distributes all hard and soft master keys.
- Assists with wheel chairs on emergency situations.
- Assists, as needed, in lost and found department.
- Assists other departments when requested (i.e. morning duck march, etc.).
- Completes other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
