Food and Beverage Manager
Job Details
- Maintain revenue, payroll, and expenses within budgeted parameters for the department
- Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
- Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and building maintenance in lodging and dining facilities.
- Test cooked food by tasting and smelling it to ensure palatability and flavor conformity.
- Maintain desired levels of quality assurance ratings including guest comment cards and inspection scores
- Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.
- Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.
- Recruit, select, and retain a quality staff
- Perform associate training on policies, practices and procedures
- Responsible for supervision, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions of associates with the approval of the General Manager
- Prepare work schedules and expedite workflow
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or hospitality related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the food service industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
