The Human Resources Director is responsible for the direct management and supervision of the hotel to ensure all policy and procedures are followed. Provide leadership and coordination of hotel human resource functions. Develop and implement corporate human resource strategy and programs. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
Essential Job Functions:
- Administer strategic recruitment and selection plan.
- Coordinate company equal opportunity programs to achieve diversity goals.
- Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
- Direct the administration of benefit programs to include: health, retirement, death, disability, and unemployment.
- Develop and coordinate grievances and mediate workplace disputes.
- Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Recommend and establish hotel policies and procedures.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- BA or BS in Business Administration, Hotel Administration or Management
- Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem solving skills
- Adaptability
- Employee and Guest relation skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage, and salary laws and regulations. Ability to interpret and advise on the application of EEO/AA laws.
Hotel level human resource experience preferred. Previous team management experience along with a working knowledge of hiring, training, payroll, and discipline procedures are essential.
