The Aloft Cleveland Downtown is a newly constructed property with a projected opening in early June of 2013. A Sales person is needed to begin booking rooms and meeting space as well as training with Starwood procedures and practices.
The Sales and Marketing person will oversee the sales operation of the hotel with the goal of maximizing rates and overall revenues for the property and its ownership. With the General Manager, candidate will set sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for both rate and occupancy. Specifically this person is responsible for soliciting and booking transient volume accounts and local group business from corporate accounts by developing contacts and relationships. Fully understanding the aloft culture this person has the ability to exceed revenue goals by offering an exciting alternative to the current market.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Previous hotel sales required
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. This includes attendance to all scheduled brand and job specific training sessions and meetings.
