Dinah's Poolside Restaurant is currently seeking a energetic, outgoing, and reliable Assistant Restaurant Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Executive Chef/ Manager in the planning and management of the Restaurant, Room Service and other food and beverage outlets as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
AM Breakfast / Lunch Shift and/or Dinner Service
o Monitor servers and busperson adherence to all service standards.
o Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service.
o Assist manager to establish and monitor sidework duty completion.
o Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift. Check floor plan for appropriate coverage.
o Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands and aisle areas. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up.
o Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
o Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc.
o Assist restaurant manager in conducting menu classes and taste panels.
o Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
o Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
o Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years previous General Manager experience in a high volume fine dining/upscale concept. Hotel experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, the ability to build a team, self-confidence and a hands-on approach required.
- Strong training and development skills to help guide management/hourly staff in producing the highest quality product and guest service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills required.
- Ability to maximize revenues and control food costs.
- Proficient knowledge of wine, food, spirits.
- Able meet aggressive revenue targets.
- Knowledge in social networking, marketing and public relations.
- Obtain and maintain current ServSafe and/or Foodservice Management Professional certifications (or the equivalent)
