  • The Assistant Controller assists with the daily operation of the Accounting Department. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Senior Controller in the preparation and analysis of Financial Statements and forecasts, daily and weekly metrics reporting, and assisting in the overall financial management of Asilomar Conference Grounds. 

    Essential Functions:

    • Supervise and help manage Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and Payroll staff.  
    • Assists in accurate monthly financial forecasting.
    • Help manage timely month end close and annual budget process.
    • Maintain monthly detailed post close Balance Sheet analyses.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly capital expenditure reporting.
    • Liaise with other managers and staff, customers, vendors, partners/owners, and Corporate staff on a regular basis.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Hospitality Management
  • 3-5 years of experience hospitality experience preferably Accounting, Audit or Operations
  • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential.
  • The ability to work closely with a team in budgeting, cost controls and monthly reporting is critical.
  • Proficiency in computers and good math skills.
